“Alaa Kumbe” means “Oh, I see! That's what it is (and not what you made me think).” It is an exclamation intended to show that one has just realized that the truth is contrary to an impression they were given. Other central text reads, “this bridge called my back,” referencing the very human undertaking and burden of connecting people with what they need. The more illustrative imagery on the piece is wearing/fading away from the imagined journey this truck has taken to deliver goods.
